The wren always seems to scurry everywhere, darting in between the ivy of our garden wall. I think they even nest in nooks and crannies there. Such striking wild birds and surprisingly red in colour along their backs.
This design is one of four pieces all about the particular behaviours or movements of British birds.
I tinted my original etching print with gems of colour using ink sticks by Derwent – so you can see I really enjoyed the process behind this collection of bird prints.
