The majesty of the barn owl made me want to create this artwork. When I lived in Norfolk, I would see them during summertime, hunting over the wide expansive fields in the gloaming. So exhilarating.
The title of this piece is “Focus”, which speaks for itself.
This design is one of four pieces all about the particular behaviours or movements of British birds.
I tinted my etching print with gems of colour using ink sticks by Derwent – a very lovely process is behind this collection of bird prints.
