Ordering and returns

ORDERING

I want you to be happy so if you have any questions up front do email me – helenarthurart@gmail.com

PAYMENT

How is my payment handled?

Payments are taken through Stripe in British Pounds Sterling. We do not store any of your debit/credit card details. If you would prefer to make an order off the website, for example, to arrange overseas shipping, do get in touch.

Is there a payment scheme option?

For an original painting over £500 you’re welcome to buy in 3 stages. As the value of my work grows, this can be a helpful option. A 50% deposit is payable to reserve your painting. The balance can be paid the following month or in 2 monthly payments of 25% each. Get in touch if you’re interested in arranging this.

This is not a credit scheme, but an arrangement on trust, at no extra cost to you. Usual shipping costs and returns policy applies.

SHIPPING

When will I get my painting?

Original paintings will be packed and shipped within 5 working days. For UK destinations, I use Royal Mail or Hermes for delivery, depending on size and weight. Most UK deliveries should arrive within 2 days from time of shipping. So allow 7 working days in total. Get in touch if you need your artwork by a specific date.

I’ve ordered – how soon will I get my print?

Prints are made to order and can take a week to produce. In the UK pieces are sent by Royal Mail or Hermes, depending on size and weight. Expect 2 days from time of shipping but up to 7 days for your order to be processed. So allow 10 working days in total.

Can I collect my artwork from your studio?

Yes, you’re welcome to join me in the gallery and studio to pick up your artwork.

Is shipping included?

In the UK, shipping is included in the cost of your artwork. Let’s arrange the sale using email if you are overseas.

Note: At the current time shipping costs are varying significantly due to Covid-19 restrictions, especially on air freight. If the actual cost of shipping is significantly more than quoted I reserve the right to discuss this with you and potentially refuse the sale.

What about large artworks and orders outside the UK?

Shipping costs for large artworks must be quoted individually – so contact me before purchasing. I will then reply to your email to discuss specialist shipping options before I despatch your artwork. If you buy online first, the shipping cost will be billed separately after our agreement or you can request a refund.

I can ship to most countries but costs can get high. Your purchase can take longer to arrive, depending on your location. If you can’t find your destination when you get to the online checkout, you need a bespoke courier service arranged with offline. Message me – or use the contact page – and we can go from there.

Overseas shipments (outside the UK) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. I have no control over these additional charges.

Shipping costs overseas contribute towards packing supplies, labour and transit fees.

RETURNS

What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?

Buying art is personal, and sometimes you change your mind. As reassurance I will give you a 14-day cool-off period.

If your artwork is not what you expected you can email me within 14 days to request a refund (as long as it is unaltered and as you found it on delivery). Once we’re agreed, you’re responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same sender’s service. Once the work has been safely returned, I will refund your payment within 14 days.

Do you give a refund on prints if I change my mind?

No. All prints are custom made to the sizes listed on my site. I don’t hold stock – each print is made for you. Check the size is correct before you place your order.

What if my painting arrives damaged?

Contact me within 7 days with a photograph to show the problem. I make every effort to carefully send the work.

What about overseas returns?

I’m currently unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of the UK.
