We rode the daft and happy hills – print
Fine art print on archival paper of a Welsh Marches landscape painting by Helen Arthur.
From an edition limited to 50 prints. Mounted but not framed – 44 x 44cm (17” square).
An unusual title, but all the paintings in the ‘Patchwork Field Patterns’ collection refers to Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales…
You get these steep-sided hills In the Olchon Valley, right on the border between Wales and England; nonetheless farmers are undeterred in creating field boundaries high up. It makes for dramatic, distant views which I enjoy from the seat of my (electric, lol) bike. Biking is the best way to see the landscape in “slow time” if you ask me. (Though Dylan Thomas was referring to pony-riding, but… you know…)
