Powder and ice-cream hills - original framed painting
There’s something here in the pink of that distant field, right next to the chocolate and banana hues of the adjacent slopes, that reminds us of Neapolitan ice-cream… So I couldn’t believe it when I found this quotation in Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales… a story you can read all about here. Thank you Dylan for the perfect title!
People who have seen this painting in the flesh say they find it very calming with an “uplifting palette” of soft tones, contrasting the strong shapes of the fields and hills. If my paintings make you feel calm and uplifted, then I'm a very happy artist.
As it is on a deep canvas - also known as cradled - you could hang it as is or you could request a grey-tinted wooden tray frame for an extra cost. This will take around 2 weeks to deliver.
12” x 12” (30cm x 15cm) oil painting on cradled canvas - framed in a light wooden tray frame
option to have framed for an additional £90
original painting, signed by Helen Arthur, part of the “Patchwork Field Patterns” collection
