The landscape around me constantly surprises me in changes of colour palette. Of course, my paintings aren't true to colour, they're interpretations and abstractions, but I love these golden yellows in the quiet time before spring greens pop up.
The original painting for this print is loosely inspired by the mid 20th century railway posters. I hope the composition invites your eye to wind through the valley and explore the slopes of Crib-y-Garth – also known as the Cat's Back (aka Black Hill) beyond.
