Summer 2024

From 18 May 2024 – see Helen’s original paintings and etchings alongside artisan 3-D makers at this excellent Hereford venue on Church Street

Join me at Skirrid Gallery – plan a drop-in visit or stay longer in our cosy, creative holiday let

I’m lucky to have a number of galleries representing me, including Bluestone Gallery, Hay on Wye, and The Courtyard, Hereford. But did you know I run a gallery from my home too? You just need to let me know when you’d like to drop by. I can show you the paintings, my studio and the amazing views here. Happy to talk about commissions if you want something tailored to you.

We now also offer creative breaks in our converted annex – a fully equipped kitchen and shower room, stylish bedroom with seating indoors and out. You even have your own private entrance. There’s a sofa bed so that 2 singles can book and you might like to arrange a printmaking or landscape painting course while you stay.

What my buyers say…

“Absolutely loved everything. Uplifting…”

Carrie Ebdon, Open Studios customer

“Thank you so much for the kind note and the additional information about the inspiration for the image. It's just stunning in person. My wife was beside herself.”

Sculptor Kory Wollens, USA, saw my work online and gifted a print to his wife

“It’s a pleasure to live alongside ‘Beyond the Bracken’; a painting which is gradually revealing hidden depths. As light levels change and move across the surface, we see subtle changes in texture, colour and form. Magical!”

Heather Cooper bought her original painting during my open studios and I have since tutored Heather and her local art group

“Our house is full of Helen’s work and we’ll be back again!”

Kayleigh and Louis, third-time visitors

  • Fancy a joyful art club delivered to your inbox? Jam-packed workshops, discussions and motivation. Fantastically affordable too.

  • I take my etching press on the road and teach different methods in a range of lovely Welsh border venues.

  • Book yourself in or buy the gift of a dedicated session for a loved one

  • I’ll bring the party to you and your friends, family or colleagues. Great for bonding and discovery.

I received your email as I was putting together my proposals for my final year project and my thesis. Your words were so helpful and supportive. I was totally playing it safe and feeling quite inadequate. After reading your email I rewrote both and there ensued a series of serendipitous events...

Hello!

A landscape artist from Wales, I escaped the corporate world because I had an itch… first to learn printmaking, then painting. Now I fuse the two in a unique studio process.

From my first crude linocut I was hooked, and I haven’t really stopped since. When I wake up each day to this colourful, messy artist’s life, I have to pinch myself.
